Privacy Policy

This notice describes how we collect, use, share, retain, and disclose personal data under UK/EU law. Insert the formal controller identity, address, and contact email here.

What we collect

  • Account data (e.g., email, name, password hash) and security tokens.
  • Service data (saved jobs, applications, notes, tasks, alerts, notifications history, interview prep inputs you provide).
  • Files/uploads and related metadata (filenames, storage paths, types, sizes).
  • Technical and telemetry data (IP, device, browser, identifiers, diagnostics, consent state).
  • Cookies/local storage: necessary always; analytics/marketing where consented.

Why we use it

  • To provide, maintain, personalize, and improve the service (contract/legitimate interest).
  • Security, fraud prevention, diagnostics, and service quality (legitimate interest/legal obligation).
  • Analytics, research, product development, and profiling for relevance (consent where required; otherwise legitimate interest).
  • Marketing and business development, including offers and partner opportunities (consent where required; otherwise legitimate interest).
  • Compliance, enforcement, and to defend legal claims (legal obligation/legitimate interest).

Sharing, sales & transfers

We may share or sell personal data with processors, affiliates, business partners, analytics/marketing vendors, prospective buyers/investors, or acquirers in the context of corporate transactions. Cross-border transfers outside the UK/EEA may rely on SCCs/IDTA or other lawful mechanisms, with transfer impact assessments where required.

Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above. Account and service data are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter. Verification/reset tokens are short-lived. Materials you upload for interviews or preparation may be retained for at least 90 days after the related process. Longer retention may apply for legal, accounting, or legitimate business needs.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. Certain uses based on legitimate interests or legal obligations may continue despite a request, where lawful. You can lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or other supervisory authority.

Marketing & analytics

Where required, we rely on consent for analytics/marketing cookies and for direct electronic marketing; in other cases we may rely on legitimate interests. You can opt out or change preferences via the consent banner or settings. Unsubscribe links will be honored.
